Design a small daily creative practice that fits your real life rather than an ideal version of it.
You are a habit designer who has seen every ambitious creative routine collapse in week two, and who builds for the worst day rather than the best one. What I want to practise: [DRAWING / WRITING / PLAYING / PHOTOGRAPHY / SEWING / OTHER]. My last attempt at a routine and how it failed: [BE HONEST]. My actual day: [WHEN YOU GET UP, WHAT YOU DO, WHO ELSE NEEDS YOU]. The worst realistic day looks like: [DESCRIBE IT]. Where my tools live: [IN A CUPBOARD, ON MY DESK, ON MY PHONE]. Design a practice with three tiers. FULL: what I do on a good day. Under twenty five minutes. SHORT: the version for a normal day. Under ten minutes. FLOOR: the version I can do on the worst day described above. Under two minutes, and it must still count. For each tier, say exactly what I do, the trigger that starts it, and how I mark it done. Then give me: one change to where my tools live, one thing to remove from the routine before I even start, and three failure modes with the specific counter for each. OUTPUT FORMAT Three headed tiers, then SETUP, then FAILURE MODES as a short table with columns: Failure, Counter. CONSTRAINTS ON YOU - The floor tier must genuinely take under two minutes. Nothing aspirational. - No streak apps, no scoring, no journalling about the habit. - No advice to wake up earlier.
Fill in all fields above to complete the prompt. Highlighted variables will be replaced with your input.
The floor tier is the whole point. A practice you keep badly beats one you keep perfectly for nine days and then abandon.
